Meeting up for the Ride

We will Meet at 10:00 AM for a late breakfast on June 26th Or Sept. 18^th 2011 at the horse camp grounds in the SD Badlands.( you are welcome to come in the night before, “an extra camping fee of $_____ will be charged”, and you'll need your own Hay for the time you are early.)

Included in the ride.

Riding for 3 to 4 hours a day or longer ( 5 Days with another day for relaxing and shopping )

Breakfast and Evening meal for 5 days, but you'll need snacks..”lunch”.. and your own drinks. “The 4^th day is a day for relaxing, shopping and site seeing.” ( NO MEALS PROVIDED FOR The 4^th DAY )

We will ride in the park the June 26^th or Sept 18^th 2011 after a late cold Breakfast. Riding. This part of the park has free roaming Buffalo ( warning Keep your distance ) and a vast area of bluffs and Vistas..small canyons and a lot of grass lands. No trails but a small River to cross. This will be a great day to set the tone of feeling really Free.

Moving camp after early evening meal, through the Badlands Park, the best time to see the wildlife along the 35 mile paved Rd. as we move camp.

June 27^th or Sept 19^th 2011 This days ride will take you into the east part of the Badlands, ( rock formations and part of the park no one sees but horse back riders ) This will be a great day to climb some buttes (hills ) and ride

on some edges ( just inches or a few feet off the ground ) Great training for horse and rider, and the pictures !!!

June 28^th or Sept 20^th 2011 2011 we will be joining the Crew's crew on a cattle drive. The Crew's that own this ranch have a full roping arena and have invited us to join in a roping or just come and enjoy the evening with them. You'll need to bring your own refreshments.

June 29^th or Sept 21^1st 2011 for relaxing, shopping and site seeing.( NO MEALS PROVIDED FOR THIS DAY )

But tickets to go to the Authentic..sod covered house at the “Prairie Home Stead” are included, For this day only.

June 30^th or Sept 22st 2011 we'll ride to the Badlands Wall ( Grass lands and some small Badlands Buttes on the Crews Ranch )

July 1^st or Sept 23^rd 2011 riding to the Badlands Wall by the most direct route, We will ride the old Buffalo trail down over the wall and spend several hours exploring the hills and valleys, rock formations where so very few have ever been.

Not Included...

You will be responsible for a means of containing your horse. ( Portable corral, high line , what ever.)

Camper or Tent, camping gear. ( NO MEALS PROVIDED FOR The 4^th DAY )

Most of this ride will be on private lands. BUT we will be riding in the Badlands National Park, part of the time, so you will need to pay for a 7 day pass. ( some of the Badlands is a National park....as such has ENTRANCE FEES )

Ride from Elkhorn Camp to Wannagan Camp 20 mile ride with shuttle options

at 8 miles and 13 miles..shuttle back to elkhorn camp for the night

July 12^th 2011 or Sept. 27 2011

Load camp equipment and move to Sully creek camp.

Rest / shopping day at Medora

Enjoy events in Medora.

spend the night at Sully Creek camp grounds.

We move camp to Magpie Camp_shuttle to Devils Pass and ride back to camp.

About a 10 mile Ride.

July 14^th 2011 or Sept. 29^th 2011

Leaving from Magpie camp we ride north to Bennett Camp about 20 miles

with shuttle options at 12 miles or at Bennett Camp back to camp.

July 15^th 2011 or Sept. 30^th 2011

Shuttle to Bennett Camp and ride north to CCC camp 20 miles

with shuttle options at 14 miles or the CCC camp back to Magpie.
